Dissertation Jobs We Print Best
Four scenarios that drive most of our dissertation orders. Each one is built around the way Indian universities actually accept the submission.
PhD library deposit copy
Library-grade hardbound on 100 GSM archival paper with the university emblem in gold foil on the spine. The exact spec required by IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, JNU, BHU, and central universities for the candidate's lifetime archived copy.
MPhil dissertation submission
Standard hardbound or softbound depending on department. MPhil dissertations are typically 100-180 pages — well within a single-volume binding without needing auto-split.
MTech / MA dissertation set
Multi-copy orders for the candidate, guide, examiner, and committee. We batch-bind for consistency so all 4-6 copies arrive looking identical — no batch-to-batch colour drift on covers or foil.
Dissertation with appendices & figures
Dissertations often have heavy figure / table appendices. We split the print job into B&W text + colour figures automatically so you only pay colour rates on the pages that actually need it.
What a Typical Dissertation Order Actually Costs
| Line item | Spec | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| B&W per page (economy) | 65 GSM duplex | ₹0.35 |
| B&W per page (archival) | 100 GSM bond duplex | ₹1.9 |
| Colour per page | 75 GSM standard | ₹1 |
| Plain hard binding | No foil, hardcover only | ₹100/copy |
| Thesis-grade hardbound ★ recommended | Gold/silver foil + archival cover | ₹350/copy |
| Soft binding | Synopsis / draft copies | ₹60/copy |
Example: a 200-page PhD dissertation on 100 GSM archival with thesis-grade hardbound binding runs roughly ₹730 per copy plus shipping. Cheaper softbound personal copies can be ordered alongside.
What "Library-Grade Dissertation Binding" Actually Means
A PhD dissertation is the candidate's lifetime academic record. The library-deposit copy goes into a university archive and stays there for decades — bound once, opened by future researchers, never replaced. The Indian library-deposit standard exists because cheap binding falls apart in 5-10 years; archival hardbound on 100 GSM bond paper stays readable for 50+.
Our default dissertation production spec mirrors what JNU, IIT, IIM, BHU, AIIMS, Anna University and central universities actually accept: A4, 1.5-inch left gutter margin, 100 GSM bond paper, hardbound with rexine or cloth cover, the university emblem + author name + degree label embossed in gold or silver foil on the spine. If your university has a tighter spec, send it along with the PDF.
Thesis vs Dissertation — Why Both Pages Exist
Indian academic terminology is inconsistent. Some universities call the PhD-level work a "dissertation" (UK convention); others call it a "thesis" (US convention). Master's and MTech candidates flip the convention. We maintain two parallel pillar pages so each search-intent variant lands on a canonical that names it the way the candidate is searching for it. The production line is the same. The terminology on each page matches the audience.
If your university calls it a thesis, see our thesis printing page — same archival quality, broader master's + MTech framing. If your university calls it a dissertation (most PhD and MPhil programmes), you're on the right page.
How Many Copies Do I Need to Order?
- 1 copy for the university library deposit (mandatory at most central universities)
- 1-2 copies for the candidate (personal record + a working copy)
- 1 copy for the guide / supervisor
- 1 copy for the external examiner (if your viva committee requires it)
- 1 copy for the department / co-supervisor (sometimes optional)
Most candidates order 4-6 hardbound copies in one batch. Ordering together has two advantages: batch-binding produces visibly identical copies (no foil-colour drift between batches), and the per-copy shipping cost is lower. Personal extras can be softbound — same content, cheaper at ₹60/copy.
Quality Control Before Dispatch
Every dissertation order passes a 4-point visual check before it ships: page sequence (chapters in order, no duplicate or missing pages), print density (no faded text or smudged figures), binding alignment (cover squared to text block, foil straight on the spine), and paper consistency (the right GSM throughout — not 75 GSM mixed with 100 GSM by accident). A misprint on a library-deposit copy is the worst possible outcome; this check exists because we've seen it happen at other services.
If a defect somehow reaches you, we reprint at no charge — see our reprint guarantee for the full policy. For a one-shot submission like a dissertation, the safety net matters more than the price.
Dissertation Order Timing — Read This Before You Submit
Hardbound production takes 12-24 hours after payment, then courier delivery is 2-7 working days depending on your pincode. Counting backwards from your viva or submission date: order at least 7 days before. We do not offer same-day or guaranteed next-day delivery; if your viva is in 4 days, a local print shop is the safer call. We are built for candidates who plan a week ahead, where ordering online saves both money and the print-shop scramble.
